Did you catch the the NY Times feature "Pushing the Boundaries of Black Style"? Style blogger Joshua Kissi who co-founded StreetEtiquette.com was featured alongside his co-founder Travis Gumbs, celebrated as among the vanguards of the popular dandy movement. Check out Kissi and Gumbs' blog when you get a chance. Kissi often references old school Ghanaian style via archive photographs of family members.
This morning we're headed to the Bronx to represent Ghana in the 3rd Annual Ghana Parade at Crotona Park in, where else, the hub of all things Ghana in New York, The Boogie Down Bronx. Last year, the stage was lit up by Blitz the Ambassador (remember him? he performed at Lincoln Center two weeks ago.), so we're expecting more of the same live shine on the stage. Plus, if last year was any indication, there will be Fan Milk and Fan Yogo! Get out of bed and get ready to march in the parade, Stars! See you there.![]() |
